Is Launch Academy Online Right for You?

Some say it’s the defining question of our time. While there may be some debate about that, it’s certainly one of the more difficult decisions we have to make when ordering lunch. That green magic calls out to us, but our wallet fights back. After all, the extra $2 is almost 1/3 the cost of the whole burrito. That’s a hefty addition, relatively speaking. But then again…. It’s guacamole. It’s all too easy to give in to impulse.
Impulsively adding guac to your burrito doesn’t carry much risk. In the grand scheme of things, a $2 impulse buy isn’t going to keep you up at night. But impulsively committing to an online programming bootcamp? That can be a very costly impulse decision, even if you’re making it for the right reasons.
You need to know that the money you put down to advance your career is a smart investment. We know how you feel. That's why when you sign up for Launch Academy Online, your first two weeks are completely free. You won't be billed for those 14 days, ever. We want you to be totally sure about two things before you spend your money:
You love programming. This is a serious program for students who want to do more than dabble around with basic web development. Most students in the program are pursuing a programming career and spend between 10 and 50 hours per week working through the curriculum. If you don’t love programming, it’s easy to fall off the pace you set for yourself.
Self-paced, remote learning is something you can handle. Between one-on-one meetings with your mentor, live sessions with your career coach, and help from your peers, you’ll have tons of support. But ultimately, you have to be the one to make sure you’re on pace to meet the learning goals you set for yourself.
No matter how many times you read through our FAQs or how many times you call our staff with questions, there’s no way of knowing exactly what the program will be like until you’re actually in it. The only way to find out for sure is to jump in and try it for yourself. Thankfully, you can do just that.
If you decide that Launch Academy’s online program isn’t right for you within the first 30 days, just give us a call, send us a message on Slack, or shoot us an email and we'll cancel your enrollment before you get billed. If you finish the course (or need to suspend your enrollment/withdrawal for any reason) in the middle of your billing cycle, you don't have to worry about a thing. You'll get a prorated refund for the number of days left in your current billing cycle. Simply put, we'll make sure you only pay for the time you use.
Most students find our online program is a great fit, but it is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Some online students decide they’d prefer a more structured learning environment like the one we offer on campus, others decide they want to take a less-intense approach to learning, and a few decide that programming just isn’t for them. That’s OK, too.
